an excerpt from an upcoming artefacts release, this is the first release of a new collaboration between a space of subtle bodies and yizhi.

a yixing clay teapot made by the distinct hands of yizhi in jingdezhen, china. the pots are then woodfired to deeper articulate yizhi’s recurring inspiration of the beauty of nature in relationship to time and decay.

in a region famed for its porcelain artistry, yizhi is one of the very few working meticulously with yixing. these pots are delicate yet robust- generously pourous with incredible heat retention.

this makes for some of the finest modern sidehandle teapots I’ve ever brewed tea from.

due to the nature of woodfiring, each pot will take on unique features and welcomed blemishes. No two pots are the same.
