A woodfired teapot designed for bowl tea.

These teapots have been handmade and woodfired by our friend Petr Sklenica using an iron rich clay & fitted with a wooden handle carved and fixed by myself here at the teahouse.

A charcoal reduction cooling process lends a natural dark matte finish to each of these pots.

Due to the nature of woodfiring, each pot will take on unique features and welcomed blemishes. No two pots are the same.

Beginning his practice with clay at age 11, Petr is a passionate artist focussed on fine crafting natural adornments and artefacts for tea. I'm pleased to share his works here. 

These are wonderful pots for solo, however can be used for between 1-3 guests.
