temple smoke is an aged gong ting shou pu’er tea from the 1990s.
gong ting translates to emperor’s court, as it was one of the tribute teas that would be produced and sent the to the court during dynastic times.
this particular gong ting was sourced in Yunnan and stored by Monkey in Taiwan for the past 10 years. the storage of this tea is mild, the dui wei | piling flavour has mellowed wonderfully to allow a gentle yet deep and creamy shou- much to the musing of watching temple smoke cascade through the air.
