a heart on fire, my humble returning to
Return is an aged Shou Pu'er tea from the 1980s.
This was one of my favourite discoveries on my recent travels to Taiwan.
Deep, grounding and clarifying in nature. A profound example of what age can influence in tea. It's cha qi feels spacious and dynamic, with a mature patience in how it moves throughout the body.
Stored in Hong Kong up until the last ten years, this tea has the full body and character of 'traditional' pu'er storage. It's pronounced, rich with a Chinese medicinal depth but softened and rounded with maturity.
This is a robust yet clear tea, making it both impeccable to blend or to build a relationship to on its own.
