a hum from the roots is comprised entirely of ancient tree material (600+ years) from yong de of da xue shan (big snow mountain), this is our favourite shou for winter deepening.
da xue shan is one of of the five mountains of china that are considered the origin of all tea- and one of my personal favourites for its vast expanse & ecology.
the energy is driving, grounding and dearly holding, with a lincang-classic profile of forest floor, dark chocolate and leather. its initial bite softens into an berry emboldening sweetness & fresh crystalline finish.
the personality of this tea truly reflects its environment. its deep, earthy and dense yet freeing and crisp like the peak of its mountains
